About the class
Our training program, offered four times per year on a Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm Pacific Time, covers essential topics in medical coding. We focus on modifiers, CPT codes, ICD-10 codes, DRG codes, Place of Service codes, and more, helping you understand their usage and recognize incorrect coding practices. Continuing Education Units will also be provided upon course completion.
We also teach healthcare compliance standards and prepare you for the FMC examination, which is open-book and allows internet research. Passing with at least 75% qualifies you to list your name and contact information on the AFMC Network Map for career opportunities in forensic medical coding.
